Hiawatha groomers rolled the ski and multi-use trails. It's rock ski conditions with grass poking through occasionally.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Lots of natural snow, but very wet and slow due to the warm temps. All the trails seemed to be open and were groomed.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Two laps with the groomer should have the skate deck firmed up and flattened out in the morning. We can’t reset the classic tracks due to equipment issues, but they appear to be mostly good coverage and well set. 95 percent coverage with some grass poking through in spots on the skate deck. Enjoy Hiawatha before warmer weather!

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Trails were in great shape, given the warm temperatures. Some debris and bare spots on trails, but easily avoidable. The groomer was there, and working on the grooming machine. Not sure if they were groomed after today. But absolutely worth the ski.

[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Trail was very soft. There are a few spots where the grass is poking through, and then one or two completely bare. You should be able to avoid all of the bare spots with a minimum amount of caution. Hoping things hold up!

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skate deck was groomed but still soft over much of the course. Still very skiable and enjoyable. No bare spots, a few thin spots, no leaves or any other debris.

The trails were still very deep. Needs a few more passes with the groomer to get it packed down, but totally expected after a big snowfall like last night. Just be warned- it's not an easy ski today. Hello, muscles that haven't been used since February.

We are open! Beautiful snow! Skate deck is set. Hoping for classic but having issues with the gears.

Grooming
[ Trails: Closed, Bare ground ]
A little more snow out there, but still not enough to groom and set trails. So please stay off the snow and the golf course until trails are groomed. We will post updates as soon as we are good to go. Thanks everyone. Think snow!

We can't wait to ski, too! But all trails are still closed at Hiawatha until we get more natural snow. There is no snow-making equipment at Hiawatha, so we work with what Mother Nature gives us. Thanks!
