Skate deck was groomed but still soft over much of the course. Still very skiable and enjoyable. No bare spots, a few thin spots, no leaves or any other debris.

The trails were still very deep. Needs a few more passes with the groomer to get it packed down, but totally expected after a big snowfall like last night. Just be warned- it's not an easy ski today. Hello, muscles that haven't been used since February.

We are open! Beautiful snow! Skate deck is set. Hoping for classic but having issues with the gears.

[ Trails: Closed, Bare ground ]
A little more snow out there, but still not enough to groom and set trails. So please stay off the snow and the golf course until trails are groomed. We will post updates as soon as we are good to go. Thanks everyone. Think snow!

We can't wait to ski, too! But all trails are still closed at Hiawatha until we get more natural snow. There is no snow-making equipment at Hiawatha, so we work with what Mother Nature gives us. Thanks!

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Bare ground ]
I think I was third on the course today. Just enough snow to glide along the fairways and driving range. There were no fences around the tees and greens so please stay off them. But it was so good being back on skis again!
