Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All of the trails have new tracks. A thorough renovation was done to break up the old crust and to mix the 4” of new, fluffy snow into the mix. Tracks are well formed. The downhill section of Jackrabbit, plus a few other places where snowplowing has been the practice have been redone, but without tracks. Thanks to Jim for renovating and Dale for setting tracks.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All of the Drummond Ski Trails have new tracks. Yesterday Dale combed out and set some tracks after we received 6" of heavy, wet snow. Today, Jim set tracks anew, but had to break through a coating of ice from the freezing drizzle. Tracks are well formed and full depth. The trees are coated with snow and picturesque.

Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Conditions at the Drummond Ski Trails are marginal. Only about 2/3 of tracks are still holding shape, with the rest washed out. Hills are especially precarious. The tracks that are holding up are good yet, but caution is advised on the hills. We will not be attempting to groom again until significant new snow is received.

Skied the entire trail system today. Tracks are set. Conditions are good with a caveat that there were some thin areas with underbrush, leaves, and branches showing through. I was able to ski around all of that (very short stretches of 5’ or less). Delightful snow and reasonably well formed tracks. If you are at all concerned about debris then go put on B skis and enjoy!

Grooming

All of the trails have tracks set on them. We received 5” of new snow which was rolled into the base. Tracks were set full depth and the trees make the trails beautiful for skiing. Thanks to Jesse for rolling and tracking.

[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Today we rolled the 4-5” of new, dry snow at the Drummond Ski Trails. The base is thin and soft, but all of the trails are skiable. There were about 5 inches of old snow on the ground and with the added new snow, things are looking up for ski season. We will not set tracks until there is enough new snow to make firm, deep tracks. Thanks to Jesse and Jim for spending three hours in the zero degree weather. Merry Christmas to all.
