Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The NE trails received about 7 inches on new snow overnight and into the morning. The main trail loops were rolled this afternoon, the remainder are snow covered. A team is scheduled to groom the main loop tomorrow morning. More grooming will be done if groomers are available. Reminder the Birkie Tour will be using some of the NE trails tomorrow but should not interfere with other recreational skiers.

Freshly groomed and fantastic for both skating and classic. The A, B and C trails are flat and firm. The Tony Wise and some of the remote connectors are softer due to less regular grooming. But still super fun. Many thanks to the grooming crew that made sure we had a day of good skiing before the next big snow.

A team of three groomers went out today and groomed all the NE trails. They are in very nice condition and skiing tomorrow should be great!

Grooming Scheduling
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The NE main loops were groomed yesterday afternoon, 12k. The Tony Wise was groomed this morning. By the time I came in it was snowing hard and the tracks were filling fast. The NE Classic has been skied in and there were a number of skiers out so the tracks may be skied in.
Note: The Seeley Classic has changed their race route from previous years and will be using the portions of the NE Trail system that we share with the Birkie this Saturday. In addition the Birkie Tour will be held on Sunday and will also be using some of the same trails. Check the Birkie website for further information on event trail usage.

Decent for skating. Better for classic skiing. It's been a couple of days since the last grooming and there are a couple of inches of fresh snow on top of a firm deck. That made it a little bit of a slog for skating. There was a well formed classic track everywhere which has now been skied in and the residual tree schmutz has been buried. So if you're reading this and still planning on skiing Tuesday, I would suggest that classic skiing is a better bet than skating until they groom again.

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The skate lane on the main loops was combed out today but new tracks were not set. There are leaves in the tracks in the areas with oak trees. The Tony Wise trail was gone over today and new track set. The trail is getting more level and firm offering a better skiing experience than it has so far this season. The NE Classic had new track set today and is in good condition overall. There are 20ks open for skate or classic and 12k for classic only.

This morning I skied the North End trails this morning including the A, B and C loops and the Tony Wise loop. The A loop and the Tony Wise loops were freshly groomed today and fantastic for skating. The Tony Wise loop is still a little lumpy in spots as it's the last of the loops that the groomers work on. The B and C loops have not seen much traffic and are in great shape. Lots of great skiing to be had in the coming days.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The main loop was groomed today for skate and classic, very nice condition. The NE Classic remains in good condition from the grooming Saturday. The Tony Wise skate deck was combed today but no new tracks were set. The Tony Wise is a work in progress to get the skate deck level and good tracks set.

Grooming

The main trail, A,B,C loops, were combed out this morning and the tracks on the A loop were reset. Conditions remain a little soft but those skiing seem quite happy. Colder weather will help.

Skied around 9 am, temps were mid teens to start. Looked like the trail had been groomed recently with a fair amount of skier traffic. Skied nicely, and enjoyed the less "aggressive" terrain over the Birkie trail. Plenty of snow, good skis no problem.
