Skied the 12k North End loop Sunday morning under a crystal clear sky with 3.5 inches of new snow. Tracks had been set overnight and were mostly solid, a few leafy patches were easily avoided. Skate deck looked good if a bit soft. North End Classic trail had not been groomed. Fun to be out on real snow!

Traipsed around the North End in my old fish scales. Rolled but not groomed, absolutely beautiful. Nothing visibly poking through but very soft. If you want a super-peaceful escape into the woods all by yourself, this is it. Fingers crossed for more snow.
