Surprisingly good conditions on the Lower Noque today. Trails are rolled from the Forestville trailhead to the Pines at 17 km. The 3-4” of snow yesterday made a big difference. Very little traffic. The skating would have been soft — I expect it will firm up soon.

About 4km of the Noque Trail from 510 down is rolled. Conditions are quite good actually. The 2-3 inches of snow has set up well. Lovely coast on down and then climb back up. Watch out for a rogue rock and grass poking through though.

Had to check out Forestville after Blueberry to compare conditions. Noque to 17k, Animoosh, and Mukwa was rolled and groomed last night. Not as soft and bumpy as Blueberry, but there is an incredible amount of oak leaves covering the trail and that continue to fall down. Skiing was very slow going at times. Noque Pines section was in the best condition. I would suggest going to Blueberry over Forestville for the time being.
