Base Depth: 8-9 inches. Snowfall Last 24 hours: 1 inch. Season Snowfall Total: 41 inches. Sunday night's high wind event caused some blowing and drifting snow on the trails so we did a partial groom of the system. Skate lanes were generally combed and some of the classic tracks were reset. Grooming plans: We are anticipating the potential of significant snowfall and very cold temperatures Wednesday into Thursday so we will hold off on a full system groom until the forecast firms up. We expect to have all trails fully prepared for the upcoming weekend.

Trail Base Depth: 8-10 inches. Snowfall Last 24 hours: dusting. Season Snowfall Total: 40 inches. The entire system received a re-groom Friday night. Temperatures were perfect for grooming and the trails should set-up nicely. All of the skate lanes were compacted and combed and most of the trails received new classic tracks. The system is in very good condition. See you on the trails.

Way better than expected... plenty of fresh snow over any ice underneath. All trails tracked and had about 1 inch of fluff overnight which didn't alter any classic tracked skiing. I did notice the skate base was soft but who cares, it was beautiful out there!

Trail Base Depth: 8-9 inches. Snowfall Last 24 hours: 3 inches. Season Snowfall Total: 40 inches. The full grooming team was out working the trail system to end 2019 with the trails in excellent condition. We have enough snow now to be able to fill low spots and remove some of the crown that has been building up on the skate decks. We also took the opportunity to do some high branch trimming work where branches had become loaded with the recent freezing rain, snow and sleet. The entire system was groomed for both classic and skate with all trails in good condition. We expect to do a final groom tonight or early tomorrow depending on snowfall. A special thank you to the grooming team and Happy New Year to all of you from the North Superior Ski and Run Club. See you on the trails.

Trail Base Depth: 7 - 8 inches. Snowfall Last 24 hours: 7.5 inches. Season Snowfall Total: 37 inches. The groomers have been out on the trails addressing the variable precipitation conditions we have experienced with these last 2 snow events. All trails at Pincushion were rolled Monday night in anticipation of a final groom on Tuesday. We don't normally groom trails when the snow is wet or precipitation is occurring but falling temps will allow for good grooming conditions during the day on Tuesday. We expect to have all trails fully groomed for classic and skate by Tuesday late in the day. We'll have great skiing for New Year's Day. See you on the trails.

Classic skied Snowman, Lynn's and Pincushion Loops this afternoon. All trails had been rolled but not groomed or tracked. Had to ski in the middle of trail on the snowmobile track as the roll ridges were frozen hard. Difficult but still nice to be out. When the snow stops and grooming completed it should be sweet.

Snow conditions are a bit crusty and icy at the moment, and there's a fair amount of pine needle debris. Classic tracks were fine, and skate deck was groomed. We heard the Pincushion Mountain loop was worse than the others due to icy ridges in both the skate deck and classic track, so we stuck to the green trails. The north shore could definitely use some new snow to freshen things up but at least it's not raining here!

Base: 6-8 inches. New Snow: A dusting. The Pincushion Trails are in great shape for the upcoming weekend. All trails are groomed for classic and skating, and the skating deck received a once over during the day today. The snow should set-up well overnight for some good skiing over the weekend.
