Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Base 24+ inches. 2-3 inches of new snow on Sunday accompanied by 50 mph winds. Widespread drifting was tackled by our Pisten Bully on Monday with good results. All trails groomed for classic and skate skiing. Although the large debris was removed by the groomer, some small branches remain on the trails (feel free to toss them into the woods). Ski with caution as you may encounter some soft areas.

Participated in the Pincushion Mountain ski festival today, doing the 30K classic race. The grooming was immaculate, the race and ski conditions perfect. Firm tracks, firm deck, great race. Great glide and kick with Swix VR30. Recreation skiing tomorrow will be ideal.

The trails were in great condition. We saw the groomer. We went up to Canyon Curves and it was a fun trail. The tracks were good.

Tried to skate Pincushion with about 3 inches of new snow. It was a slog, all 20k of it but that was my fault for skating when breaking a classic track would have been much easier. The deck underneath the new snow seemed firm and I did not experience any pole plunges. Drifting snow was an issue on Canyon Curves and Pincushion loops. By the end of the day the groomers were out packing the new snow. Should be great when they are done.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Base 20+ inches. All trails were groomed for classic and skate skiing on Friday. While we were out there 1-2 inches of very light, dry snow fell. Expect to encounter some minor debris on the surface that came down during the polar vortex.

Great skiing at Pincushion now that we have emerged from the deep freeze. Looks like all trails were being groomed today with the Piston Bully, so conditions should be great for this upcoming weekend.

Conditions are really good at Pincushion right now. I classic skied, and the tracks were hard and relatively fast given the temps. The skate lane looked good also. Looks like cold temps for the next few days, but should be great skiing by this upcoming weekend.
