Skied the trail by Lake Vadnais. New grooming and classical tracks set. Wonderful. Great tracks. Perhaps the best of the season. 18 degrees and sunny. A slight wind off the lake made things very cold.

Skied the trail around Lake Vadnais. The new snow covered up all the tree litter. The trail hasn't been groomed since the last snowfall, but skiers have skied in the existing old track. The trail skied faster than it has in recent weeks and was probably the prettiest it's been all season with the new snow and bright sunshine through the trees.

Conditions on the Lake Vadnais portion south of County Rd. FE were very good. Consistent machine-set track after the bridge, maybe skier-set between bridge and hill above parking lot. Just a little ice in the most sun exposed sections. Isolated leaf, seed and needle litter before trail turned east after the point. Surprisingly more leaf litter there until the southern terminus. it was around 38 degrees and sunny. I used Rex red kick wax. My first ski after a week and half layoff to recover from a cold. Moved well until I started picking up more leaf litter before my turn around at Edgerton St. end. Still moved okay on my return but slower, even down the hill to the bridge on my return.

Skied classic tracks at Vadnais. Good conditions, nice tracks. Not much has changed with the conditions. The photo taken one week ago could have been taken today (minus the sunshine). Almost one inch of fresh snowfall in the last two days has covered up any leaves or debris.

Good classic skiing today. Some leaves on trail. Many swans and mallards. Grooming is fine in most areas.

Skied classic tracks. With the exception of one small area on the trail, there is good snow coverage and well-defined tracks for skiing.

I went over the lunch hour so didn't get to ski the entire trail. It's nice to see that they have groomed it but since the last report, snow shoers / walkers have trod on the tracks in places, especially close to the parking lot. Which I guess is to be expected since the park has both walking trails - not groomed for skiing but could ski on it yesterday, which I did as well as laid ski tracks. Looking forward to the next snow fall and grooming. It's a nice change from skiing on a golf course as the trees and view are spectacular.

Skied Vadnais trail. All in good to great condition. West track of 2-track trail appears to have just been groomed today and is in perfect condition; filling in a little with blown snow in exposed spots. East track not recently groomed, but in good shape. A few leaves in the tracks. To my non-expert eyes, the skate skiing deck looks to be in excellent condition.

The trails were recently groomed and in good condition. A little soft from the fresh snow, but the tracks were well defined and skied in. I skied both the Vadnais side and Sucker side - my first time at Sucker. Had a nice mid-ski break to watch the swans! These trails are so quiet and the walkers are good about staying off the ski trails. Very pretty and fun little trail system!
