Great conditions today. Snow was a nice temp. A bit slow but good. Two nicely groomed classic tracks!

Skied classic tracks. With the exception of one small area on the trail, there is good snow coverage and well-defined tracks for skiing.

I went over the lunch hour so didn't get to ski the entire trail. It's nice to see that they have groomed it but since the last report, snow shoers / walkers have trod on the tracks in places, especially close to the parking lot. Which I guess is to be expected since the park has both walking trails - not groomed for skiing but could ski on it yesterday, which I did as well as laid ski tracks. Looking forward to the next snow fall and grooming. It's a nice change from skiing on a golf course as the trees and view are spectacular.

Skied Vadnais trail. All in good to great condition. West track of 2-track trail appears to have just been groomed today and is in perfect condition; filling in a little with blown snow in exposed spots. East track not recently groomed, but in good shape. A few leaves in the tracks. To my non-expert eyes, the skate skiing deck looks to be in excellent condition.

The trails were recently groomed and in good condition. A little soft from the fresh snow, but the tracks were well defined and skied in. I skied both the Vadnais side and Sucker side - my first time at Sucker. Had a nice mid-ski break to watch the swans! These trails are so quiet and the walkers are good about staying off the ski trails. Very pretty and fun little trail system!

Groomer put down two side by side tracks at Vadnais lake today. Tracks are not full depth, and have some small chunks of ice in them.
Already starting to collect tree litter, hence the recommendation for B skis.

The groomer came today and set classic tracks at Sucker Lake. The snow bed is still fairly thin so the tracks are not deep all the way around. The grooming also broke up all the ice that formed after Tuesday's thaw so snow conditions are vastly improved. I did not get to the Vadnais trail so not sure if they were groomed.

Skied at exactly the wrong time of day; my car thermometer read 45F, and any trail in the sun was mush. Surprisingly, in the shade, conditions were pretty good. Started at the Edgerton gates. This trail has not been rolled since the most recent snow. However, the skied-in track is actually pretty good. I saw a half-dozen skiers, a handful of snowshoers, and numerous walkers. I thanked all of the walkers for avoiding the tracks. I recommend B skis only because of the usual deciduous detritus. The wind was rising as I was finishing, and the temperatures were dropping: the brave skier tomorrow may need klister.

Groomer rolled the Sucker Lake loop over the weekend. Coverage is very good. Classic skiers are left slip-sliding away as there is no set classic track. Vadnais Lake trail was not rolled (apparently). Skier-made tracks on south end of the trail are actually quite good. From the parking lot to the middle gate, tracks are inconsistent and walked over.
