Trail conditions don't get much better than this. Terry groomed Thursday and tracks are well set, frozen, and now mostly free of the wind-driven debris that had been on trails earlier this week.

Trails were groomed last night and are great condition. Skiing today was great - though I wasn’t sure it would be because of the howling wind and chill temps. The high winds today indeed had been shaking the treetops and lightly sprinkling the trails with a potpourri of needles, twigs, cones, lichens, twiglets, and snow dust, but not enough to really drag at your skis or slow you down. Best of all, down on trails, there was barely a breeze thanks to great sheltering pines and spruce of woods. It is snowing right now, so some of that debris may be lightly covered by tomorrow.

We skied the whole trail system Thursday afternoon just as the groomer was finishing. Ideal snow and tracks. Get out and enjoy the Towering pines and rolling hills of this gem. You won't be disappointed.

New snow accumulation - so we have groomed all segments of our classic trail system again tonight. Snow is light, cold, giving good glide.

Trails are well-groomed - tracks in today’s milder temps were quiet and fast. Snow still hanging on the trees for an especially scenic ski.

New snow packed yesterday and tracks set this evening. Should be fabulous skiing tomorrow after a cold freeze.

This was only the second time I did these trails and it was great! The tracks on the Howard Loop were a little better than the tracks on the eagle Loop. Covered by enough snow that I never ran into any rocks or grass and no ice. Was able to snow plow around sharp corners. Very quiet and visually stunning as there was snow still hanging off of the trees. Trail maps and warning signs were great. Hats off to the couple who reminded me that a State trail pass was needed as I doubt if there are enough Enforcement Officers checking due to low staffing. Especially loved the Deep Woods experience with no obvious signs of logging.

Trails were packed and groomed this evening. With 8-9” of cold light new snow, skiing should be great.

We got about 5” of light new snow yesterday. However, we have not yet packed or groomed - though we hope to get it done before weekend, and hopefully sooner. We will post as soon as we do. In the meantime, this new snow has adequately covered all bare spots and needle/leafy litter on the trail, so you can break out the good skis. Only recommendation is to still avoid snowplowing on the few marked short, steep trails since the snow is so powdery and you may get down to base and litter if snowplowing. It should be lovely skiing with all the frosted trees and calm wind.
