It was a nice day to use the classic technique! The tracks were set well, and the snow was firm so that few (if any) pole plants sunk deep into the snow. I skied around the whole area a couple times. In a lot of places, the snow really hasn't come off the trees since the storm in mid-December. It's a beautiful, wintry landscape!

Skated Lake Loop. Trail was in real nice condition. Low snow temp (air temp around 0 F) made for poor glide. Returned and grabbed classic skis for a run around Thunder and East loops, which was a bit more tolerable in these cold snow conditions.

We groomed all trails this morning/afternoon. The classic track should be fairly good everywhere. It might get shallow from time to time, but will still ski well. The skate lane gets better with each grooming and should ski pretty well. Atomic drop should finally be ready for all you speed demons. We will probably not be grooming again until the temps warm up a bit, hopefully later next week.

This place is amazing! I highly recommend everyone to check it out. Did a nice long easy ski on most of the trails. Lots of snow and warmer temps mean the tracks were a bit soft. Skate deck seemed more firm, although still soft in places too. Even with the soft snow it was a really enjoyable ski.

Groomed all trails this morning, reset track. I would still be careful on Atomic drop, it will need a few more grooming sessions to even things out.

We groomed the entire system today. We reset the classic track to take out some of the wavy issues. The track may be shallow in spots but should ski better. The skate lane should be much improved also in all trails. Be careful on Atomic Drop as this was our first time through and the trail will be uneven in spots. Personally, I'm going to skip it until we get another grooming session on it. Overall the trail is in good condition which is amazing considering where we were at 3 weeks ago. Thanks to everyone who donated their time in clearing trail, packing trail and grooming.

Very good conditions at Sugar Hills. This very hilly trail had recently been groomed and is in good condition. Coverage is excellent. There is a bit of debris on the trail and there are several rough spots on the skate deck. The classic tracks appeared to be in good shape. The warning house was much appreciated on our cold morning.

Trails groomed, skate and track, except Atomic. Trails in good condition, trees beautifully coated with snow and frost. Get out and enjoy pleasant temperatures ahead.
