Trail Reports

2019-2020 season
Reports 3 to 5 of 5    Month: Mar | Feb | Jan | Dec
Tuesday, January 21, 2020
Evening
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All trails are groomed, though track seems to only be set on the course used for the Hodag Challenge. I believe it was groomed since the races, so the trails were in nice condition. Good and firm. The Towering Pines loop, the southeast most portion of the trail system, is now rolled but pretty soft with no classic tracks.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Nicely groomed trails at CAVOC, and a nice trail system. Classic track set on almost all trails, and nice wide trails to facilitate skate and classic. Trails are a little soft with the snow from Monday, and in general the trails seem to have had pretty light use. I imagine things will firm up. The outside portion of the Tower Pines loop was not groomed at all, otherwise all trails are groomed nicely.

Rolled for skate, conditions very good with excellent coverage. Pole plants a bit soft on some of the uphills, but most of the trail firming up nicely. No classic tracks set.
