Most of the trails have been re-groomed as of tonight (compacted/tracked). These trails include White Pine Alley, Birch Ridge, Eagle Ridge, Wolf Run, and Black Spruce as Biskey Ponds Trail is closed for this year. Bundle up! Sounds like we have quite a brisk weekend coming up!

Hadn't been on the Biskey trails for a couple years. Tracks were firm and fairly fast. It seemed like my blue kick wasn't working real well on the uphills but it might have been me not the wax. Met the two guys who groom these pretty trails. They have a donation box to help them with the costs as they get no support other than that. A fun ski on the portion I had time to do (White Pine, Birch Ridge and return to the trailhead).

Trails were well groomed. hard and fast, though wonderfully not icy. A great place to put in some lovely time in the woods.

Biskey was groomed again Tuesday afternoon. Sounds like the first steep hill on White Pine may be slightly icy so use caution when going down it. Remember to watch the direction of ski on the one-way trails (clockwise) and look for "Do-Not-Enter" signs at trail junctions going up. Happy skiing!

Lots of fun bring the good skis. I only saw dirt in one spot under the spruce trees. Skied the whole thing and met some people with a couple of kids. They absolutely loved the new Spruce trail. So did I. Nice job.

What a wonderful day at Biskey. We had never been there before and might be our new favorite spot. The trees were still all frocked with snow, and the tight single track through them was stunning. We skied most of the entire system and the grooming was perfect, with sharp crisp tracks. It was a bitter cold day out, but that made the wonderful squeaking sound with the poles. Perfect deep coverage and not a single bare spot and no debris on the trails.

The tracks where reset on most of the trail system from this latest snowfall and I got a chance to ski part of the trail system including the new Black Spruce and everything is in almost perfect condition! If you are looking for an easy trail with great northwoods scenery, Black Spruce is definitely one to take!

The trails were great. The birch trees looked pretty. We skied White Pine Alley, Birch Ridge, and the new trail. The new trail wasn't marked. It was just a little ways up the trail past White Pine Alley and down the trail from Birch Ridge on Wolf Run. It was about 1.3 kilometers long and pretty flat.

Biskey is now open after getting roughly a foot of snow across the Northland! Check out the newly built Black Spruce loop while you are out there! It is 1.5 km and rated easy! Happy Trails!
