Trail Reports

2020-2021 season
Reports 1 to 3 of 3    Month: Jan | Dec
Wednesday, January 27, 2021
Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Trail is decent, fairly soft and very dry snow. They have been groomed and tracked since the last snowfall. Lots of foot traffic as usual, but ski-able. From the Amery trailhead to Baker ave there is sawdust and sticks all over the trails along with car tire tracks from some tree trimming work and I took my skis off over the bad sections. Trails are clear West of baker ave.

Skied 5K of the trail west from Amery. Conditions were pretty icy, with a thin layer of powder over the trails. The trails were uneven and tricky to ski near the trailhead, but smoothed out and were much easier to ski around 2K out. Not much leaf litter or damage from foot traffic due to the hard base. Classic tracks had not been set.

Evening
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ B skis ]
Trails had been groomed, but not tracked. They were in decent shape, although some spots only had about 6in of base. A bit soft snow made for hard skiing. Not much damage from walkers or snowmobiles, or leaf litter.
