Tried to start at Cedar Lake, but the skate deck was ice and last night's snow just blew off. Wirth Lake, Tornado Alley, and Bridge Trail were better, but still 50% icy. Man made loop was good, though a tad slow with cold temps and new snow.

I enjoyed excellent conditions on all Wirth trails south of the Trailhead. When I finished at about 1pm the deck was holding up well to the sun and warm temps. Coverage and grooming are good throughout, although there are some easily avoided bare spots on the Anwatin, Bog, and Skyline trails. Everything except Anwatin was tracked. I hope the warm weather doesn’t cause too much damage!

Near mint conditions on all Wirth South trails! Clean snow, great skate deck and good classic tracks everywhere except for Eloise Butler (skate only). A little forest debris here and there but easy to avoid. I used best skis without issue. Great job groomers!

Skied Anwatin, bog area, Wirth Lake, Skyline. Conditions were good. There were just a few very small areas where bare ground was poking through. These areas were easily avoidable. Near Anwatin School it looks like some vehicle drove on the path for a quarter mile and made some deep ruts.

Skied anwatin, norm, tornado alley and skyline. The best classic tracks are on the skyline trail. Skating is good on all trails and the couple inches of snow we got on Friday helped out as the conditions were a lot better.

Thank you groomers! Garden,Bog, and all of South Wirth was great skate skiing at 1:00 today, during the heat wave of the day. Love having the Garden and Bog back to old pattern from a few years ago... especially the Garden. Thank-you!!

Skied most of South Wirth. The first hill on Anwatin was a little hairy very slick and some dirt to avoid at the bottom. All trails have dirt patches that can throw off your skating rhythm and no classic tracks, but there on average is 2-3 inches of firm base. Someone shoveled snow under the highway 55 tunnel, that is appreciated.

I skied the bit on and around Wirth Lake which was pretty good although very icy in a few spots. The Antwin trail had some gravel and spots to be careful of and a lot of walking tracks. Bog trail was similar. Watch out for a man hole cover on the Easy section of the bog. I skied right over it. But overall fun and fast and remarkable with so little snow!

Really great ski on bog, butler, and wirth lake loops around lunchtime today. Bog trails were best of bunch and in very good condition throughout. Butler and wirth lake were also good, but there were lots of walker footprints which made portions of the trails bumpy. No classic tracks on any of the trails. I rate this for B skis primarily because of some exposed rocks I noticed on the uphills on the anwatin loop, and especially because there is an exposed curb at the bottom of the second to last hill on the anwatin loop (the hill that leads to the bird sanctuary parking lot). I was able to avoid it, but be careful.

It looks fantastic all the way to Wirth Lake and back. The Quaking is also good. Go have fun and cover yourself.
