Grooming [ Trails Open: All, ]

The warm days settled the base to about 10 inches. Below freezing overnight set it up nicely. Groomed everything and set tracks. A couple areas have a few pine needles mixed in. The parking area has been plowed. Owls were flying today!

Lots of new snow with the last 4 inches that was very dry. Rolled the mostly open areas, but like other local trails, lots of snow covered branches and pine branches hanging over the trail. We could use a small army of volunteers skiing or snowshoeing the trail and knocking the snow off so the things will spring back up. Nature isn't helping to do that. The help would be appreciated! Thank you!

With an inch and half of fresh, dry snow, we groomed the whole trail. Not enough depth to set tracks. There are a few spots with a little grass showing and a few leaves mixed in, but nothing damaging.

Last storm brought our first 7 inches. Warm days settled it 50%. The ground was not frozen and we have not done any grooming to avoid turning up dirt and debris into the snow deck. Signage is up, it was mowed in October, and it would work for bushwacking on the rock skis. MOre snow and we are ready to groom.
