Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Another cold and sunny day. We groomed all trails, skate and tracks. The snow had set up so that today grooming was nice.
We did bump a couple of rocks on the Red Trail but they are easily avoidable.

Cold and sunny and windy on Tilson Monday. Too much new snow even after dragging and rolling on Thursday last week to use either Ginzu or Tidd.... We packed and rolled all trails twice. Should be able to set tracks today. Looks like a break in the weather is finally coming!

Night
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
We groomed all trails last night. Plenty of new snow over the past few days made for good tracks and skate lane refreshing. Finally nice to be able to work in moderate temperatures! There were very few round rocks still showing in the tracks when I skied on Saturday so I would be watchful.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Way cold. The kick was stupendous, polar green all th way. Glide was intermittently great, and nonexistent. The four + inches of snow December 24 made for great tracks. In a few spots, the tops of the little hills, the bed rock is visible. Very nice grooming by Burgess.

We packed and tracked everything yesterday after about 4 inches of new snow. Finally took Ginzu across the Little Blue Hill Trail. More snow overnight so we grooomed again this morning, rolled and used the Ginzu for tracks on the main outer loop of Green, Orange, and Yellow, and rolled the swamp. A bit chilly out there today at about 12 below. But it was sunny.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
In crisp cold weather all, trails are tracked and groomed. I don't count the "bad" Blue Hill trail because that's only open for a short time - it's not yet even packed. We packed on Tuesday after about 6 inches of heavy wet snow, groomed on Wednesday. Looking very nice. New Blue Return is still lumpy and there are sections of the Blue that are that way as well, caused by 4 wheeler traffic in the mud during deer season. Overall we are in good shape.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
Another little snow came Thursday night, enough to make grooming fun. We set tracks on Green, Orange, Yellow, and Blue trails, and rolled the Red so that it is skateable. The skate lanes are fairly firm now. The tracks are only fair, but improving each time. There are still a few rocks on ridges but overall our coverage is good.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
Skated 18 KM on fresh groomed trails. There were a few rocks on some ridges. Tracks have been set on part of Trail with some thin spots. Great day to be out on the trails.

Evening
Firsthand: Freestyle Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
After another couple inches of new snow, We had both the Tidd and Ginzu out along with a shoveler and set tracks on Green, Orange, and Yellow trails on Wednesday evening. While there are a few rocks visible if you look for them, most are completely covered now after shoveling. I skated all the trails and was quite happy with the results. We have yet to get a big snowfall but continue to add a few inches at a time and have a good solid base.

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Rock skis ]
We groomed for the second time on Monday, rolling followed by Ginzu on Green, Orange, Yellow, and main Blue. The Red (Black Bay Loop) was done Saturday but is pretty rough. Skating only so far - not enough to set tracks. In the open on the flats the trails are quite nice; under cover and on ridges the cover is still thin. But you can skate easily. The New Blue Return Trail has been rolled twice but I would avoid that for now because it is really rocky.
