Notes
The ski trail crosses open and forested bog and passes through stands of aspen, spruce, balsam fir and eastern white cedar. The terrain varies from flat bog to rolling uplands and steep rock ridges. Whitetail deer use areas along the trail for winter yarding. Moose, timber wolves, and pine martens are occationally seen along the trail. Located in Koochiching State Forest.Trail Reports

We groomed for the second time on Monday, rolling followed by Ginzu on Green, Orange, Yellow, and main Blue. The Red (Black Bay Loop) was done Saturday but is pretty rough. Skating only so far - not enough to set tracks. In the open on the flats the trails are quite nice; under cover and on ridges the cover is still thin. But you can skate easily. The New Blue Return Trail has been rolled twice but I would avoid that for now because it is really rocky.
