Perfect day to groom! We ran both Ginzus over all the skate lanes this morning in bright sunshine and moderate temps. We did not try to re cut tracks, and left the Big Bad Blue hill trail alone. The refurbished skate lane looks super!

In honor of Birkie weekend we groomed and tracked all the regular trails on Monday. We left the Big Bad Blue Hill trail as it was, just rolled, because we don’t think we can pull Ginzus there. The tracks are mostly fine, with some shallow areas. Skate lanes are in great shape.

After nearly 2 weeks without snow we finally groomed new snow on Tilson Creek yesterday, pulling both Ginzus to set tracks and do the skate lane. Then of course it snowed last night. I rolled the skate lane on all trails including the Big Bad Blue Hill trail this morning.

I skied this trail on New Years Eve 2019. The area had just been dumped on with snow and there were no tracks set. So I thought I'd try it again as long as I was in the neighborhood. Nice! The whole trail had 1-2 inches of fluff so I had to break trail but the tracks were solid. Skied everything except the red trail; even went to the VNP just to see what that was all about. The return on the blue trail was way cool. There are some nice hills hidden in the back 40. One other skier who was skating and grinning. He lapped me about 6 times. He was nice enough to thank me for packing down the tracks in anticipation of all the weekend skiers. Nice job grooming!

Nice weather brought out lots of skiers and a couple of inches of snow. We groomed and tracked all trails this morning, and continued to post trail name signs.

My first time at Tilson and the trails are firm, fast and in great shape! Freshly groomed, except the Blue trail, which just had a light layer of snow on it. The Blue trail also had some softer sections.

Skated for 4 hours on the trail. Freshly groomed the day before. A little soft but in great condition. With more than 2’ of snow in the woods.
