Morning
Firsthand: Both
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The deck had a bit of half inch fluffy covering making the trails slow, but the pack beneath was beautiful on the skate trails. For the most part the classic trails were great. Some areas that had hiker damage but overall fabulous conditions.

Excellent. The grooming and tracks on the lake loop were super. Upper loops had just been groomed, so they were a little soft. Lots of skiers and lots of smiles.

Skied just about every trail in the park, and was out as the same time as the groomer on the north side of the river. New tracks were nice and full depth. Flicked a number of sticks here and there but otherwise debris is non-existent or easily avoidable, used my good skis. On trails the groomer hadn't hit yet, tracks were a little wonky and shallow at times and had been drifted over. Overall it felt like the groomers were picking up the tracks a lot for downhills and uphills that didn't necessarily require it so there was a fair amount of going in and out of tracks. The skate loop on the south side of the river had not been recently groomed but the track was skied in. The skate deck was firm the couple times I got out of the track. Overall a great ski and a big thanks to the park staff for keeping up with the trails!

The classic trails at Gooseberry Falls were rolled and tracked yesterday. The tracks were shallow in stretches and got slightly more shallow with last night's dusting of snow. There was little to no debris on the ski trails. Overall the trails were well groomed and the skiing conditions were great.

Enjoyed skiing the scenic skate loop at gooseberry. Fast conditions but definitely some debris on trails (leaves, other non damaging but annoying schmutz). Skate lane has some slight ruts from the grooming equipment that can throw you off a bit.

Skied a classic Loop on the north side of 61. Trails in very good condition. Good track throughout, no ice. A fair amount of debris in spots (cedar and pine needles, some twigs, downed trees have been cleaned up).

Skied the easy loop down by the lake and the upper right loops. Trails were freshly groomed and tracked and in very good to excellent condition. Some easy to deal with bare spots by the lake and some soft spots in the woods. Thanks to the groomer for doing a great job.

We skied what used to be a skate trail which is now groomed for 1 1/2 classic ski tracks. Much of the fallen tree debris had been cleared. We were excited to hear the groomer on the other side of the river from us so we went to check that out and he was just starting to pack those trails as well. Campground loop looked to have immaculate grooming when you first enter the park on the right side although we skied the other end of the park. Thanks for getting right on it groomers!

Broke trail until we couldn't go any further due to downed trees. Snowshoe tracks and a snowmobile has driven down the ski only trails.

Park staff report: Trees down blocking trails. Lakeside trails still have bare ground. They cleared and rolled the skate ski loop today. Other loops will take additional time to clear.
