At my 9:30 am start, it was partly sunny, 51 degrees according to the trailhead thermometer - I think it was actually high 40's - and the Star loop was in fair to good condition. It was primarily soft, wet corn and getting ruttted in spots. However, due to the soft snow the ruts weren't really an issue. But the climbs were definitely more work I only did the longer west-east hill once over the course of 5 laps.

Star Loop was in excellent condition this morning at 8:45. It was my fastest skate of the year but obviously without the Scenic or Boulder climbs. Thanks Three Rivers and groomers for keeping Hyland open for us diehards.

Got there a little late since the temps went from 30 at daybreak to 45 at 10am. Just the Star loop, so kind of a tread mill experience. Overall worthwhile since our season was so short. Most of trail has a good 18" base.

The Star Loop was excellent at 9:15-10:15 am. Classic skins were great. Fastest ski of the season. Fun to circle quickly and see friends in the gorgeous weather.

Great grooming and good conditions on the Star Loop this morning. Thanks to Three Rivers and the groomers for skiing us into March!

Only the Star loop was open but the snow is holding on pretty good. Good firm base that was getting sugary later on! I did try the ungroomed section and it was wonderful if you would like to break a hip!

Down to just Star Loop, but it was in nice shape! The groomers had pulled snow from a couple spots to provide a clean surface on basically all of Star. In the cloudy conditions it was holding up well, getting crunchy as things warmed up instead of slushy. I can't imagine there's much left of our season now, get there while you can! Thanks groomers!

The Star Loop is open and in amazingly good shape. The skate deck and tracks were both groomed and very good this morning. Getting mushy, but hey, it was 74F yesterday! I used the klister still on my skis from the Birkie and had good kick. The trails north of the Star Loop were not groomed and looked sketchy. It looks like Three Rivers is trying to patch snow in to make it better. Thanks for the great efforts to keep us skiing!

The Star Loop survived the weekend. The Willow Loop uphill looked dirty so I stuck to the Star Loop as did most others. Thanks Hyland and the grooming crew for a nice season.

Star Loop was groomed and in fantastic shape this morning - but the remainder of the trails appear un-groomed. So this would appear to be my season ender. Many thanks to the incredible efforts all season to the Three Rivers Hyland crew- way to salvage a tricky winter!
