Was great to be back on snow at Hyland today. Star and Willow (1.7 K?) open with manmade snow. Good snow, some leaves due to wind, but not bad Nov 16!

Stop by today to get my season pass. Hyland has made lots of snow but no tracks have been set yet. When I talked to the person they say they might have an answer tomorrow for when opening will be. Lots of parking lot changes with the update over the summer.

I spoke with the attendant at the chalet about snowmaking and opening plans. They are blowing snow 24 hours a day now, concentrating on Star and Willow Creek loops. They do not have an opening date but will groom as soon as they are able. Most of the first 2 loops are now snow covered.

Observation Scheduling
[ Trails: Closed ]
A number of big piles of snow, a bit spread out, and nothing pushed smooth yet. No snowguns running when I stopped around noon.
Sidenote: Construction is on-going at the main entrance, with the alternate access road cutting right down part of the 5K loop. However, they were putting down additional asphalt layers in the new parking lots, so hopefully work is wrapping up soon.

They are blowing snow at Hyland! The guns are running in the practice area and up the hill to the north. Some of the track is 6" deep. Of course, nothing is open of skiable yet.
