Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Freshly groomed today With nice firm classic tracks. Skied the campground loops on my old wood skis. Very nice Snow and trail conditions. I'm starting to see more people out there but still very few. Now is the time to get out and ski Bunker Hills.

Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
There is plenty of base but it has been only loosely groomed. The top layer of snow is very soft so it's a bit slow going. Still very nice snow and it was a pleasure despite having tons work a bit harder. I did not see classic tracks set anywhere near the golf clubhouse or the campground visitor center.

Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Classic trails were great. Tracks were set deep, well-formed, and fairly fast. There were some leaves on the ground that slowed down the tracks a little, but skiing was still great. It was quiet, peaceful, and lovely. Best I have seen in the Twin Cities for a handful of years, get out there and enjoy it.

Evening
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Classic ruts were excellent! I saw virtually no ski pole pocks, so either no one had been skiing or the tracks had been laid that day. Regardless, my green wax had never worked so well. It was about 12 degrees, but I was gliding sometimes 12 feet per stroke. No too windy, so skiing was the best of my memory.

Skied the campground loops and to the Activites Center. Two sets of classic trails set. Beautiful scenery with the snow hanging in the trees. No crowds. Best conditions in years.

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Bunker park side, golf course, and skijoring were groomed for skate and classic. Side by side classic track was set throughout these areas where width allows. Conditions are firm. Still experiencing some drifting in the open areas, especially on the golf course loop. All areas should offer some good skiing.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Park side (all trails east of main park road) was groomed fully today and classic track set; conditions are good. Bunker Golf Course was groomed, but due to some heavy drifts the skate deck is not pristine, and no classic track was set. Start out at the visitor center or activity center if your looking for good classic tracks and a firm skate deck.

Grooming Scheduling
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
Due to staffing concerns and the volume of recent snows, grooming has been put on hold while maintenance staff focuses on plowing and removing snow piles from park entrances, roads, and parking lots. Grooming will resume later in the week. Apologies for any inconvenience.

Our MYSL group skied the golf course today and it was absolutely wonderful! It seemed like the beest snow we've had there in a few years. Golf course is groomed for skate skiing and tracked for classic.
