Good to be back at Carver after no-snow years. I forgot how much I like the trails and the variety. Grimm was good--could have used B skis. Some leaf litter in spots, but good skate deck. Had to double pole thru some windblown areas, but not much. King was another story. Lots of windblown, and lots of hikers that almost destroyed most of the trail. Hard to get to the trail from the Lake trail since the snow was windblown. But still worth it because of the nice uphills. Only three cars in the parking lot. For natural snow this time of year, it was great. Better than Hyland. Trailer was open.

Grimm was great. Pretty fast, pretty firm, and a fun ski. Some leaves in the woods, and areas of grass poking through were mostly cosmetic problems. Small grass patch at top of first climb. Worst is last couple hundred yards of exposed prairie that required a little double poling. Well rewarded though, as I don't think I got any new ski scratches on the large stretches of really nice groomed trail. Lake about the same except larger windblown area at King trail spur was a minor hassle to get through.
