2018-2019 season

Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Sure was windy. We stayed in the woods on the Sky and Sugar Bush trail and had no trouble with the wind. Two inches of new snow that was not groomed. I would stay away from the King and Lake and Grimm trail today. Saw a half dozen other skiers who were undeterred by the TV weather personalities who tend to bad mouth snow and cold during the winter.

Trails were in excellent condition. They were freshly groomed but Grimm in particular was soft. Sugar Bush was firmer as was King until you started the climb away from Lundsten Lake. I used Fastwax Salmon LF buffed with fluoro paste. It/I was disappointingly slow.

As of 10am Sky Lake Sugar Bush and Nature are groomed for skate only. Grimm and King rolled but messy. Crew is working as I write so will probably be done this afternoon.

Lake Sky and Sugar Bush have classic set. Everything else is rolled but not groomed. Great job with all the snow we had. Should be good tomorrow.

We skied at 11 am and it looked like the skate lane all had a fresh groom from this morning. The classic tracks were all drifted and skied in at best. It looked like the groomers were headed back out to continue grooming so it is all tight for the weekend.

The trail had not been groomed since the Tuesday. Most of the classic tracks were in fair condition due to the drifting on Tuesday and skier traffic. It was skiable, but could use a grooming to tighten things up. The skate lane looked a little soft, but in good shape with excellent coverage.

Morning
Secondhand
[ Trails Open: All ]
Groomers were not out today so exposed trails very windswept. Sugar bush and sky were least affected.

All trails groomed for skate and classic. Trailer open today. Beautiful in the woods and getting windswept in the open areas. Still a little soft should be set up by tomorrow.
