The trails are absolutely perfect! Solid skate deck and pristine classic track with very few oak leaves. The groomer ran the classic track up the steeper hills like "killer hill" and they are a blast to kick up. I'm going out again!

Got on trails about 10am. I know trails were groomed yesterday, but light snowfall from yesterday afternoon and winds this morning blew over the fresh corduroy on the skate deck, but just a thin layer. Good enough for me and perfectly skiable. Classic tracks still in good shape too! Only slow points were on Wedge Hill Savanna Trail, lots of wind up there this morning so some drifting, but minimal and easy to maneuver around. Gorgeous day on the trails!

Skied the big Woodland loop this afternoon. Didn't do any of the side loops, but the trail intersections indicated fresh grooming all around today. Classic tracks are setting up to be hard and fast, very few spots where the wind has blown them a little closed. Very little skate traffic, that also looked hard and fast. Beautiful conditions! :).

The 1/2 mile loop near the Visitor Center is groomed for skate and classic. The groomer was headed out as of 8:30 a.m. to do the 3.8 mile inner loop.

Skating: the Rolling Hills and Prairie Overlook loops are not groomed (second and third loops). The rest are in decant shape. Classic: The first section from the trailhead to the railroad has deteriorated badly. The Rolling Hills and Prairie Overlook loop tracks are man-made but are in good condition. The last section back to the trailhead on Wedge Hill through the open field, the tracks are in fair/poor condition.

The inner loop and Wedge Hill were rolled today. The ski deck isn't yet groomed. Classic tracks were made by skiers today.

Disappointed to find skier tracked trails only, only partial packing of the trail system. They apparently received 6 inches of fresh snow yesterday. A grooming employee today was apparently out rolling, but I didn't see them or evidence of their progress anywhere on the system. Still an absolutely beautiful sunny day to be in this lovely park, and encountered very few skiers.

Beautiful, snowy and slow. Trails were being groomed as we skied, so it should be terrific tomorrow. It was slow skiing, but the classic tracks were fine. With all the snow, no debris!

Beautiful day on the trails! It appeared every trail freshly groomed as of this morning. Both skate and classic well done! At 1 pm I was the first person on the Prairie Overlook Trail. Snow was thick up there despite grooming (no doubt from recent snowfall and drifting.) So you can see in last image where tires from groomer sunk in. Not going to complain though. Another pass by from groomers and should be nice and packed. Again, great day to be out and one of the first people to touch the trail after 12pm. Enjoy!
