Report is for the flat marsh loop only. It's been rolled but no track set. A couple of bare patches, which can be avoided.

Everything is rolled and about 7k groomed for skating. Thin but very enjoyable skiing. Nice no track classic and skating looked pretty good. Quite a few walkers. Park folks did a nice job with this first snow.

Trails were rolled around noon on Thursday. A few bare spots but not bad - avoid Killer Hill Loop and South America. No classic tracks but decent early season skiing for sure. Thanks to the crew at WOB for getting out early in the cold!

I got to here after 4:30 and was very surprised to have first tracks. 6" of snow and more falling while I skied. I took the Fischer Summit fish scales out for a ride. They are super slow but you don't have to take them off to cross roads or parking lots, so there is that. Coverage was very good and it was a winter wonderland. Clumping was an issue and slowed things down even more. After a colder night, I think early tomorrow may be pretty good. It was so nice to be back on the snow again. It was only a 5 month and 26 day off season (skied Swedetown on April 24). Let's hope we get a couple of these in November and December!

Observation
[ Bare ground ]
Walked the outer loop today and found the best pre-snow trail conditions in years. Wide mowing, new culverts, several sections leveled and ruts filled in. The park stepped up their grooming game last winter and this additional trail work will especially help low snow conditions.
