Skied everything manmade. An inch of fluffy powder on top of solid grooming. The powder was a bit sticky and slowed things down a little, though over the course of the afternoon the sun and the traffic started speeding things up. No icy spots that I could find, a tiny bit sugary on a couple uphills but mostly very, very good. Please remember to avoid skating onto the track.

I ventured out onto the natural trails for the first time since the warm up last week, and also did the snowmaking loop. All the trails had at least an inch of light fluffy snow on top of the most recent grooming - it was nice and fast with the cold temps. On the natural trails, I just did JD Rivers, Bassett Creek, Tornado Alley, and Bridge. Conditions were quite decent - I didn't see any spots that I thought might cause damage. I was quite cautious because I wasn't sure how much depth there was, and how much ice I might find. The only spots with a lot of ice (under the powder) were on the Bridge trail loop between Tornado Alley and Skyline. The connector to the snowmaking loop was in good shape, though there is some ice on the bridge and between the bridge and the golf course. Under 55 was fine.

Spent the sunny afternoon on the 6K man-made loop and really enjoyed it. Zero ice, great corduroy, and solid classic tracks throughout. Great conditions for skiers of all ability levels. Thanks to the great groomers who refresh the trail every evening!

The artificial snow was really nice this evening, slightly icy at worst. Minimal leaf debris in the forested North Loop. Tracks are missing from a few downhills but the surfaces were not icy or bare.

The made-snow loop was mostly crispy corduroy this morning. I got there just after sunrise. Most of the deck was crispy but not icy. However the inside corner at the tops of many hills was fairly icy. And the outside corner of downhills was a bit icier than the inside, especially on the North Finger. That hill had the roughest conditions on the course. The outside of the turn started kind of icy and seemed to ice up more under the sun (it might have been melting and freezing at the same time). And the deck had little ice balls/chunks on a lot of the North Finger. La Squadra was clean and not slippery. Trail 18 had some odd ridges and bumps in the middle of the deck that would have been skied in if it was warmer (but were too stiff to mash down). Overall pretty great considering the rain the other night. Thanks for the overnight grooming!

I skied laps on the snowmaking loop this morning. If you are worried about the ice, the grooming last night has cleared it all up for the most part. I was expecting it to be pretty slick this morning, but for the majority of trails were fine. A few icy spots to look out for, but nothing that was too bad. The curve at the bottom of North Finger was probably the worst, a few icy spots going up La Squadra, and some ice on the Ridgeline. The only area I'd avoid is the learning area in the lower stadium (the new area close to the road). That was sheer ice, but the rest of the stadium was fine.

The freezing rain has turned the stadium area to glare ice. Snow conditions on the wooded trails vary widely but some of the snow was very good. Most of the trails corduroy. We only stayed a short time.

Really great conditions on the natural trails north of Glenwood this morning. The groomers did an amazing job between Thursday and the weekend. There are one or two icy spots still - mostly on the Bridge trail - but other than that I was really impressed (and grateful!). Fingers crossed it holds up through warm weather.

It was another super ski on the snowmaking loops at Wirth this afternoon. The grooming was excellent as usual and sun was shining! There were very few people out on the trails. I noticed the groomers were working on the North Finger loop as I skied by today. It would be great if we got some more snow so the Judy loop could open up, too.
