Blowing and drifting snow meant that the classic tracks were pretty well filled in. Plenty of snow for the few of us who braved the weather and spent NYE on skis.

Firm skating deck, rock hard classic tracks. Rex -2/-8 and Rex 1814 both were working great for kick! Thanks to Three Rivers Park for the continued awesome grooming.

The classic track was well set and fast. I know this sounds repetitive but the snow was just about perfect. Kudos to the groomers!

Did 3 loops of the Man Made snow course w/wooden skis (Classic). Very fun. Course was fast and the tracks solid.

The man made snow loops were perfect. The classic tracks were solid and fast as was the skate deck. All in all, perfect conditions for skiing.

Enjoyed a nice quality ski with Darling Daughter this morning. Snowmaking loop was nicely groomed and not too crowded. Kudos to the groomers at Elm Creek.

9pm skate ski was frustrating with trails very chewed up. Donut was in bad shape. The burner cutoff and the fairway were the best conditions.

Surprisingly chewed up already by 8 am, entire 2.5K loop was like sugar. One or two small, dirty patches. Snow was plenty fast though, and races seemed to go off just fine!

Practice at 5:00AM (MGHS Nordic). The deck was fast and well groomed. The icy conditions from Thursday night no longer existed. Hills were a bit soft. Classic tracks were rock hard and glazed. Great kick with Rex 1814. Thanks Three Rivers for all you do for the Nordic community.
