Skate skied the valley trail (2.5k man-made snow loop) at Elm creek at 5pm. Groomers doing a fantastic job. Looked groomed earlier today and set. Slightly iced and good speed. No slush and no bare spots. Classic tracks looked nicely tracked. I heard from classic skiers tracks were a little icy. Get out and enjoy it while you can. Kudos to groomers this season, Thank you!

Elm groomers continue to work their magic. I timed it perfect later morning so they had groomed the outerloops (creek, etc) and multipurpose trail. They are skiing fantastic with a firm, fast base but nice snow cover to edge and push of skating. The outer trails were nicer than manmade (firmer, faster) and of course better scenery. The only spot to watch out for is the downhill after you come out of the scenic creek trail along the ridge. That downhill is icy so wise people took different routes to get down as shown in picture.

A fun day of spring skiing. Was very soft as expected for a middle of the afternoon ski, but great to be out in a t-shirt. Skied two laps of the lake and creek trails. Was surprised to find full coverage! Definitely a few spots that were just packed slush and maybe 2 or 3 spots with a little standing water. Natural snow was firmer than the man made, but was soft everywhere. Guessing there are at least a few more days of full coverage on the outer loops but beware of ice patches when that slush freezes.

This morning, before the temperature reached freezing, the Valley trail was in excellent condition. I saw evidence that the groomers had headed out to scratch up the skate lane on the outer trails, but from a distance, the trail there still looked a bit rutted and difficult. The Piston Bully was out on Northern Lights while I was skiing, and the whole trail was skiable. I suggest B skis because, the link section is mostly turning icy, and there are icy patches on other sections out there. Northern Lights might be inaccessible by tomorrow. I asked at the chalet, and got a vague answer as to how much longer the park plans to continue grooming this season - a few more days maybe (?).

The man-made snow loop and Northern Lights both had good tracks, with just a little puddling on the outer part of NL. A staff member told me that while the downhill area is closing after this weekend, people can still ski the trails. They haven't decided yet about grooming. I'd estimate the man-made snow track has 2-4 feet of base still, and NL maybe a foot. From what I could see, the bridge to the outer trails still has full coverage. Could be an epic spring for skiing.

Skied manmade snow and northern lights trails between 10:30-11:30am. Had been freshly groomed. I was worried it would be either too icy or too soft, but it wasn't! Was very fast and slightly icy, I did double pole a lot, but there was also plenty to get an edge. Then in a few places it was soft where the sun had warmed it. I keep thinking I've had my last ski, and then keep getting out there for just one more. Hat tip to the groomers!

I just skied the manmade snow. Swix Universal klister worked well. The classic track was solid and fast the first lap but slowed down in the sunny areas as it warmed and got wetter. Looks like they groomed for skating going out to the Creek Trail. The Northern Lights looked good at its entrance. It was very good on Monday. Sign says they're closing on Sunday.

I stopped to take a look at 9:30 am, but at the trailhead, it was a sheet of ice. They appear to have groomed before the rain stopped. Too slick for my taste. I'll try again tomorrow.

Skied all the lit trails skate but tracks looked good throughout. Northern lights just as good as the man made loop. Only issue was where a herd of deer on the manmade snow loop were making a mess of the skate deck. Despite the rain still in excellent condition. I was the only one out for the whole hour I was there, so lots of people missing out on some still excellent skiing.

Eagle along with the Northern Lights and manmade snow trails had pretty solid tracks (better than I expected). Monarch had pretty washed out tracks but still plenty of snow and a lot of fun. I had klister on and that worked pretty well during the lunchtime hour. Thank you groomers for keeping it going!
