The trails connecting Grass Lake to Snail Lake will have tree contractors out removing trees in preparation for the boardwalk construction this spring. They will be plowing part of the trails to provide better access. No dedicated ski trails will be impacted. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate over the next couple of weeks.

All of the trail loops were groomed and set with a classic single track! A little bit of ice on the prairie Loop but not bad. And of course, there was a scattering of oak leaves along different points in the trail. Overall trail was in pretty good condition! Hope it hold up!

Skied all of the grass lake trail loops. The trail looked to be packed at some point earlier this week with a couple inches of new snow on top. But no tracks set. Trails fully covered with snow but without tracks set and a lot of footprints my skis slipped around quite a bit especially on the wooded loops. Paths fairly clear - just a few leaves. Scenery was beautiful- snow still clinging to trees. Great way to start the new year.

All trails have been packed. Due to the warm weather and wet weather, trails are starting over. As we get more snow, we will be laying track. Have a safe and Happy New Year's.

Good conditions this morning at grass Lake! Everything was groomed for at least onesingle track, including the prairie and Woodland loops. Also packed trail alongside for walking. If you park in the northern parking lot, don't give up hope about the grooming. Ski down the hill around a couple of bends and then you will pick up the classic track Skied at 11 AM and things were getting pretty soft already, but still in good shape.

Trails have been rolled, but there is not enough snow to groom. Conditions are fair to poor.
