Due to the warm up on Saturday and hard freeze on Saturday night the skate deck was very icy and hard in most places and a bit rutted up as well. The classic tracks looked pretty good but were glazed over in many spots. Thank you Wil and and Robert for all your grooming work this year.

Very good spring conditions on this intimate trail. Plenty of terrain here, with some attractive big-pine forest areas.

Wow! Did not expect such great conditions at this time of year. We were going to ski Doug's Folly, but the skate vs classic loops have been reversed this week. So, we classic skied Will's crossing. We started at around 11am. We encountered a thick base throughout, very well traced tracks, with very few washouts. There were some debris, but nothing that affected the skiing. Hardly anyone was out -- very few cars in the parking lot and no one on the trails. Perfect clear blue skies and warm weather. Thank you to the groomers! Go enjoy while it lasts!

Scratched up all of this week's skate loops this morning breaking up the glazing and picking up the sticks that came down with yesterday's winds. Most trails are in excellent shape, a few have quite a few oak leaves on them.

Just finished grooming and tracking Long Rider and Bruce's Roundabout. All normal skate only loops are groomed and tracked for classic skiers during our opposites week throiugh the coming weekend. All classic only loops are groomed skate only for the week. Directional signs are on the trail where the trails diverge. Tracks and skate deck both are excellent, although Mother Nature seems intent on warming up considerably. Have fun and enjoy the loops you haven't seen this winter until now.

Opposite week is here...it's your chance to see where the other half skis. This morning I groomed the fresh 6-8" of snow on the traditionally classic trails for skating. All trails are a minimum 9' wide and was able to go a little wider on a few - you may need to narrow your V on a few climbs. The traditional skate loops will be groomed and tracks set by Will this afternoon.

I groomed and tracked all the skate loops this morning. It's possible they might be a bit soft in places, but they looked absolutely excellent as I groomed. Grooming plans: Next week, weather and snow conditions permitting, we will be doing our annual "Opposites" grooming. Next Monday we plan to groom all skate loops for classic only, and all classic loops for skate only. Temporary signage will be up when leaving the warming building and at the intersection where the trails split. This has been a very popular week for the past several years.

Groomed all the skate loops, cleaning up the daily snowfalls we've been getting since Sunday. All together it looks like we've picked up 3-4" of wet, heavy snow. With the exception of some snow turds that rolled off the groomer, skate loops are back in great shape.

Absolutely perfect trail conditions. Perfectly groomed, great snow. Love this trail system! We skied the Lion's pride loop, some gentle hills, a couple of hair pin turns, so at least an intermediate trail. We did not see too many people, and as we were leaving the groomer was coming around for another run at it. Wow.

After getting our groomer back from the shop for routine maintenance this morning, I groomed and tracked all classic loops. Conditions are simply excellent. Robert groomed all skate loops this afternoon. He just reported to me that they set up in excellent condition as well. Snowshoers continue to pack down their trails on a regular basis. Skiers are welcome to ski a virtual Birke, Korte or Prince Haakon this coming week. Our loops are measured by GPS to tenth of a kilometer segments as shown on the map brochures we have in the warming building.. There are several combinations skiers could do to complete their race.
