I sure like that place, the staff is great. They try hard to welcome you. This morning the trails were groomed super fine, nice deep tracks for classic skiing. The snow was hard and fast for me. Being the snow was hard and fast it was harder for me to do the corners. I kept sliding around them and not skiing them. By the way they have good coffee too.

Super fun and fast for skaters and striders alike! Strided right out the back door of the Nordic Center in "Grand Canyon" deep tracks on to the south loops that just opened up over the weekend. There is now over 5K of Birkie Elite Wave conditions. Carpe Skiem!

Great skiing at the Ariens Nordic Center today. New trails were opened this week and everything was groomed to perfection. Classic tracks were deep, sturdy, and fast. I am beginning to think my seasonal pass to the ANC will be the best ski investment I made this winter.

Nearly all the trails are now open! Tons of snow, perfect grooming, and wide (and wide open) trails- a great day for a ski here. Classic tracks were deep and were wisely stopped on tighter corners. Skate lanes were level, wide, and fast, with nary a leaf in sight anywhere on the entire system. With the new Nordic center open and a nifty new entry process, we are looking forward to returning soon!

The snow guns were at full throttle this morning, rapidly covering the south end of the property in a brilliant white! I strided the open 3.5 K in 12 degree temps and under a bright blue sky. Conditions were super fast and a tad icey given the cold overnight temps and the wind. Hint: Keep an eye on the website for the opening of the remainder of the trails. Carpe Skiem!

Have a very good base. The groomers do a good job but the trails felt like the center of the trails were higher then the sides. I kept sliding off. Every time I go out there it feels better. The staff treats you very well and they know what the conditions of the trails are like. There was only two of us doing the classic trail so the first time around we were a little slow.

Wow. What a nice option when you have no snow in your neighborhood. You get a disconcerting feeling skiing on a trail in an open area on a gray day. It is hard to read the trail. The trails had been groomed last night and had a thin, icy crust on top. It made for fast conditions. By the end of the morning enough people had skied over the trails to loosen them. A few downhill turns were getting sugary. A deep base at least six inches in some spots and up to eighteen inches in others. I shall return.

Skiing conditions were very good for both striders and skaters this morning at The ANC. The fully groomed trails measure about 3.5 K, but the snow guns were on, leading one to think that more trails will open up soon. The tracks are deep and fast, the skate deck flat and firm. We're lucky to have this gem! Carpe Skiem!

Excellent training venue! Sixth wave and further back=perfect mashed potato skiing... just like the Birkie after 1000 skiers! Excellent grooming just lots of traffic but great training. I am a regular and like the variety... smooth corduroy in morning and mashed potato afternoon teaches ski control.

Fantastic spring skiing: 39 degrees, sunny and windy! Skaters and striders were happy they came out today. One can only imagine how fabulous this place would be with any amount of natural snow! Carpe Skiem!
