Icy, perfect, and slushy... Depending on the moment and sun exposure. But, we timed it perfectly to enjoy the trails and have good conditions coming back down to town. Despite signs requesting no walking, dogs, or skate skiing, someone's boot tracks directly on the icy tracks made for a treacherous section. Other sections, we were the first people enjoying the tracks.

The trail was groomed and tracked on Friday morning. Conditions are excellent. Probably as nice as it will be any more this season. Grooming completed at 7:15.

Checked out the Chassell trail for the first time based on Ken's enthusiastic report. We arrived to find about 6" of new, very light snow in the parking lot and freshly groomed trails. Trails were fantastic. The layout makes great use of the terrain to make for trails that are technically interesting yet very skiable. Definitely will be back.
