After the 10" we got Thursday night, we pulled out the equipment this morning! Groomed and tracked the Beginners Loop and East half of Connectors Loop to Range Rd. Overall, good condition with a couple short bare spots and a drift or two. Trail maps with updated info are at front desk of main building, enjoy!

Groomed all trails after a surprise 2-3 inches of snow early morning! As usual, first 1/4 of Beginners loop is thin and didn't track well but the other 3/4 went great. School students will be using this trail daily this week for Ski Class. All other trails are tracked and set up nicely! Parking lots plowed near trail entrances.

Groomed all trails for classic this morning, went pretty well. Trails are in great condition. Please watch out for stick and branch debris. Only 1 or 2 short spots with thin snow where tracks went down to ice. Maps in building and parking lots at trail, entrances are plowed. Beginners ski loop next to building had a lot of students on it today. First 1/4 is iffy (a little icy, not much for tracks) but the final 3/4 is good to great.

Conditions are pretty good for classic! Just enough new snow to groom a fresh set of tracks on the trails. A couple small spots got down to the ice, but only 1 or 2 of those overall. Maps are in main building front entrance. All parking lots are plowed near trail entrances. Just a reminder that our trail closest to building (beginners loop) is never in "great" condition to due school kids skiing on it daily. The first 1/4 of the beginners loop is down to ice. The remaining 3/4 groomed pretty well after they skied today.

All trails groomed and tracked (classic) this morning. Snow was a little fluffy still, but should firm up nicely. Beginners Ski Loop will be used by school groups all week. Strongly recommend not skiing that loop. Parking lots for middle loop, grouse, and north loops are plowed by their entry gates. Grouse loop was not tracked, but was groomed.

Trails definitely skiable, not all are in great condition. Beginners loop near building is shot and very icey due to excessive skiing by ski school during week. All other trails ard good minus a few spots that were tough to groom due to some snowshoers who went right down the tracks and some snowmobilers joy riding our trails last week. They hard packed it, and snowmobiler made some nasty ruts. I was able to patch good enough to ski over.

Conditions were variable. In most places (flatter treed areas) a generous layer of dust on the hard crust made for decent skiing. Grooming a few weeks ago had been filled in, but the classic tracks were discernible in most places and made for an enjoyable ski. In some places (steep open areas), hard icy crust was exposed making for a challenging, treacherous ski. We had heavier nordic backcountry touring skis, which were a good call. More race-style skis might struggle.

Trails are shot after both warm days and some rain. Hard packed and ice. Due to high winds, trees and much debris down on the trails. We will not be grooming until we get another good amount of snow and safer conditions.

All trails are tracked and ready to ski! Great first base and tracks, enjoy! Maps are at front desk. Look for plowed parking lots along Nature Center Dr (driveway) to access further out loops. The Grouse Loop is only rolled and packed. It can be used for skiing, snowshoeing, or hiking.
