Grooming [ Trails Open: All, ]

Trails definitely skiable, not all are in great condition. Beginners loop near building is shot and very icey due to excessive skiing by ski school during week. All other trails ard good minus a few spots that were tough to groom due to some snowshoers who went right down the tracks and some snowmobilers joy riding our trails last week. They hard packed it, and snowmobiler made some nasty ruts. I was able to patch good enough to ski over.

Conditions were variable. In most places (flatter treed areas) a generous layer of dust on the hard crust made for decent skiing. Grooming a few weeks ago had been filled in, but the classic tracks were discernible in most places and made for an enjoyable ski. In some places (steep open areas), hard icy crust was exposed making for a challenging, treacherous ski. We had heavier nordic backcountry touring skis, which were a good call. More race-style skis might struggle.

Observation [ Trails Open: All, ]

Trails are shot after both warm days and some rain. Hard packed and ice. Due to high winds, trees and much debris down on the trails. We will not be grooming until we get another good amount of snow and safer conditions.

All trails are tracked and ready to ski! Great first base and tracks, enjoy! Maps are at front desk. Look for plowed parking lots along Nature Center Dr (driveway) to access further out loops. The Grouse Loop is only rolled and packed. It can be used for skiing, snowshoeing, or hiking.
