I skied yesterday and today at Spidahl and conditions were outstanding. They haven’t had much snow over the last several weeks, so the deck was hard and fast, but with enough snow to edge and corner. Skied Speedy’s, Liz’s Loop, Skibee, and the Offdah Lite yesterday with Dave. Today I coaxed my high schooler off the couch and we skied the same track minus Skibee! Fair amount of little sticks and leaves but overall great conditions! Big group of MYSL skiers out today...fun to see!

Beautiful day to ski at Spidahl! We got out just as it was warming up (-2 at the start). We were the first ones out around 11:45. Dave was still getting things back into shape after the snow and wind. Lots of drifts on the trails gave him lots of work! We skied Emma’s, Chick’s Boo, Speedy’s, then Chick’s Bop backwards. Skate track was firm and wide, classic track looked good too.we Had a blast as usual! Thanks Dave and Cindy for keeping things in such great shape!

I skied Spidahl both Thursday (~15K) and Saturday (~20K). The trails were in great shape everywhere. Otter Tail County has had a ton of snow, so the only complaint was the occasional pole plant going through the snow it was so deep! I needed bigger baskets! On Saturday it was a little colder when I went out and the trail had really firmed up and was really fast. I skated only, but the tracks seemed to be in great shape throughout. Spidahl continues to be a real gem in my book! Thanks to Dave and Cindy for doing such a great job!

Excellent - this ski garden is truly treasure. The deck was a little soft but to be expected with 12 inches of new snow. There was no rain here New Year's Day so it was not icy. This is truly a challenging set of trails I recommend Skidahlen for a roller coaster ride you won't forget. There are lots of easier trails as well.

We skated - perfect new, deep snow conditions. The deck was a little soft but gave that feel of fresh snow! (12").

Mostly very good conditions at Spidahl's. Looked like everything except Skidalen and UffDa were groomed. Skate deck on Emma, Lizzie, and SkiBee are firm; on Chick's Bopp are fairly soft. Classical tracks are good on all groomed trails, with only occasional rough or thin spots. We were promised cloudy skies today, but actually got quite a bit of sun. Woods on this trail system are beautiful.

Fantastic early season condition! Snow is still soft, but there's plenty of trails to explore. No classic tracks set yet, but the soft snow worked great for classic today. There was not much wind today and we didn't really notice many leaves on the trails. We only had a short visit due to time, but we really enjoyed our first visit to the Ski Gaard and meeting the owner David himself.
