Trail Detail
Notes
Trails consist of 5 separate loops groomed by volunteers from the Wolverine Nordic Ski Club. An interesting mix for all ability levels. Heavily wooded terrain and great snow make for a wonderful ski experience.New warming shelter.Trail Reports

Skiing survives at Wolverine and was surprisingly good today. The core trails (Cliff Trail, Wolverine Cut Across, 3-Sisters, Stairway to Heaven, and Pit Run) remain in good condition. Cliff Hanger and Powderhorn are fair condition with a few step-overs. Hospital section, novice trail, and the pond loop are not skiable. The head-wall in the stadium will likely be melted out by the end of the day. If you need to ski one more time, get out there soon. Don't let the melting head-wall at the trailhead discourage you, it's better just around the first corner.

Very good skiing continues at Wolverine with good crust in the morning, and smooth corn in the afternoon. Base is not punchy, and quite deep in most places. The head-wall in the stadium is melting the fastest but still good. The Novice Loop and the section behind the Hospital are closed for the season. The pond loop near Powderhorn is rough. Downgraded to B skis due to minor surface debris.

Grooming has finished for this successful season of skiing. Chalet is closed. You may still ski the trails that remain open after 4" of wet snow that fell the last 2 days. No bare spots, not mushy. Striding is skier tracked. Some skaters have been out. A great spring day of skiing!

Trails are good to excellent condition. Good snow coverage on the trail, no bare spots. Skate lane is very skiable. Tracks are still good. Keep skiing. Grooming has been suspended for the weekend do to weather forecast. The Chalet will be closing for the season this Sunday at 6pm. Trails will remain open into next week and grooming will be determined by the weather and temps.

Trails are skiing well. The snow/sleet/graupel from last night was a nice addition, providing a good top coat. No fresh grooming today, but skate lane and tracks are holding up well. The trail was softer in the sun than the shade where it skied like mid-winter in a few rare places. After talking with the deputy chief of trails, it sounds like grooming won't take place this weekend with overnight temps above freezing. If the trail holds up well, grooming will resume once temperatures are more favorable. The base continues to be stable and deep.

All skate lanes were groomed this morning after 1" of snow fell overnight. Classic tracks were still visible and had good kick after new snow. Skating was supurb. Snow globe snow was on and off during the morning and sun came out in the afternoon. Pisten Bully will be out tomorrow morning grooming all trails and setting new track. Cool temps tonight. It is perfect conditions for spring skiing, no bare spots or water holes. A lot of folks out enjoying the perfect day.

Very good spring skiing continues. Even with temps in the mid 50's, the trail skied very well thanks to a very firm and transformed base. Classic tracks were firm, and held the skis well although the sun has made them a bit wider and shallower than normal. The skate lane was very good too, not soft or punchy at all. Skiing in the morning could be scary fast. Thanks to the groomers who continue to work the deep base.
