[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Rock Lake received 3 inches of snow yesterday and the groomers went out to hit the trails today. All loops were groomed with tracks except for the Rock Lake Loop which was not groomed. There are some small twigs in the trail, but overall the trail is looking really nice!

Another 3 inches of poof fell last night on the Rock Lake trail system. The groomer was pulled around all loops except for the Rock Lake Loop. A track was set on the groomed loops. The snow base is getting deeper, but there is still some brush poking up in spots. Recommend rock skis or B skis as there is still risk of damage.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
There is 6-8 inches of snow in the woods that compacted to 1-2 inches of base on the trails. I saw many fresh coyote (?) tracks in the half inch of new snow. You might risk using B skis if you avoid that rock in the middle of the trail 2 km from the end of all loops except the 2k loop (see photo).

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Rock skis ]
Rock Lake received approximately 3 inches of fresh poof yesterday. Forest Service staff used snowmobiles to pull the groomer with the comb down, making two passes this morning/afternoon. Once compressed, there was about 1 inch of new snow on the base of the trail. Setting tracks was attempted on the 2K and 4K loops, but there was not enough snow. There are some small twigs and leaves on the trail. It was approximately 3F degrees when the trail was groomed. Rock Lake Loop was not groomed.

Packed down the 2k, 4k, and 7k loops with snowmobiles. Everything else was left untouched. There are still some twigs/leaves coming through the snow, would recommend using rock skis.

Rock Lake trails were cleared, gates opened, and the 5 inches of snow packed down with snowmobiles. The base is an inch to two inches. We'll be out again when we get more snow!
