Grooming Scheduling
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Mukwonago received about 3 inches of new snow. Thanks to Bob for getting the trail groomed up for one more weekend of great skiing! The 13 Km loop was not groomed this time. This will be the last time grooming this year. I want to say a huge thank you to the Forest Service staff and volunteers that helped out on the ski trails. It was a great but challenging grooming season! There's still plenty of snow out there, so hope you can get out there and enjoy the beautiful trails!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Mukwonago received another 10" of snow over this past weekend. The trail was rolled, groomed, and tracks set and is looking great! Looking forward at the weather, it will start to get very difficult to groom due to the higher temps. What I'm trying to say is if you have an itch to get some skiing in yet this year, you best get after it! Enjoy.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Mukwanago received 10"+ of moderately dry fluffy snow. The trails have been packed and combed - no classic track yet. The deck will need to set up overnight before we can pull the groomer up the hills and set track. Conditions are excellent with no significant debris on the trails.

Observation
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Still time to get out and get some skiing in! plenty of snow and hours of light to enjoy the trails. We received 6" of new snow out as Mukwonago since the last grooming and the trail is looking great. The skate deck is wide, tracks are deep, and the trail is debris free.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Classic skied the 7.5k loop in the afternoon with temps around 37. Excellent conditions with a smooth firm skate deck and classic tracks placed nicely away from the edge with firm pole plants. Didn't see another soul while we were out there - it doesn't get any better!

Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
We skied early afternoon, all the trails were just freshly groomed! The ski bed was soft, and got a little stickier as the day progressed with warmer temps, but still a great ski. Well groomed trails and spectacular scenery! It was a wonderful place to ski!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Groomed in the 8 inches of fresh snow Friday and freshened up deck and reset tracks again this morning. Trail was soft and getting a lot of use. Beautiful weekend to ski! There is a snowshoe trail at Mukwonago too. Five dollar day use fee for parking.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Groomed in the 4 inches of snow this morning. There is still some debris that was pulled up by the groomer, but a huge improvement from last week. The worst spots are under the big pines. Skate deck is in good shape! Tracks are mostly good, but shallow in areas especially under the pine sections. Happy Birkie Week!

The trails are well, icky. I wish I had better news for you. But with the warm temperatures and rain we had made the trails hard as a rock. I went out to tackle the 13k. It is full of debris and frozen snow blobs that fell from branches. I ran the groomer over the trails with the teeth down. After several passes I can't say I made it better, but I can say I didn't make it worse. Too icy and full of debris to set tracks, but should be set up good for the next snowfall. All we can do now is think snowy thoughts!
