Notes

Nearly level trail through densely wooded flood plain. This trail is one of the best in Iowa because of the protection afforded by the dense tree cover. Trail is groomed for classic and skating on Fridays by local enthusiasts.

Classic track set and a bit of trail compacted for skating last night. Mostly good snow cover; just a bit of grass, twigs, dirt in track.

With as much snow as we've gotten in the last few days, all the trails were covered pretty well, and there were decent tracks on all trails. I could be wrong, but I think most/all of them are skier made. Saw three other people today out in the 10F temperatures. Not necessarily fast skiing, but great nonetheless! Get out there!
