Skied from the south end of the golf course to the north end of the trail (20k). Trail has full coverage with just a few icy/thin spots, warm temps and sunshine are impacting the trail by the hour. Trail had a nice ice glaze when I started at 9:30am (38 degrees) and the surface was a little softer/slower when I finished at noon (47 degrees), timing your ski is important. However the trail base was firm throughout with solid pole plants. Classic track is transformed and has leaves in some areas.

I went out midafternoon when the temperature hit the mid 30s. I was lucky and the trail was just right, the skate lane had softened up just a tad after a cold overnight freeze. The skate lane still had pretty nice cord from Saturday's groom. I skied the golf course, the hills behind the golf course and out to Old 32 Rd (6k). The classic track was glazed and fast, partially transformed and had some leaves in certain areas.

Skied the entire trail Saturday and Sunday. Groomers did a great job grinding up the ice on the skate lane. Super fun course fast both days.

I skied from the Old 32 parking lot, around the beginners loop and out to Sullivan Spring Rd (11K). The trail was very fast this afternoon. The skate lane was crispy due to the cold temperatures. The whole trail was groomed yesterday, so the skate lane was pretty smooth yet today although there were some skate ski dents from yesterday. The classic tracks were glazed, not full depth and had some leaves and debris.

Trail report for golf course to County F (0-20k), including big beautiful hills behind golf course (2-5k). Pisten Bully groomed last night. Some windblown snow on golf course (0-2k) but rest of trail was pristine, clean, level and wide (4-5m). Skate lanes and full-length classic tracks had excellent control. Round-trip elevation gain is estimated 1300 feet (400m). Lakewood trail delivered one of best days in memory. Kudos to volunteer maintenance group.

Complete trail was Piston Bully groomed. This includes the Golf Course, Golf Course Hills, all I crossovers and intersections. New classic track was set throughout the system. With the cool temperatures the trail has set up nicely. Conditions are excellent. Both pictures are in the hills behind the Golf Course. One is at the top of toboggan and the other is the shortcut between blue and green trails.

Trail report from golf course to Sullivan Spring Rd (0-11km); large hills behind golf course (2-5km) were not skied. Golf course has fresh grooming and is clean and level with no debris. Remainder has been recently groomed and was fast and fairly clean, minimal debris. No recent skate deck grooming from 11-20km (Smyth Rd, gold loop, County F). Deck has good base with solid pole plants. Adjacent classic tracks throughout were of moderate depth and fairly clean. Good skis may be used on skate lane. Overall, very good day at this scenic location.

I skied the green trail off the south end of the golf course to the blue trail and out to Sullivan Spring Rd. Very nice skiing with an inch of new snow over a crispy and firm skate deck. Classic tracks were nice throughout. The golf course is freshly groomed. Beyond Sullivan Spring Rd it was not recently groomed with 2-3 inches of new snow on top of the last grooming.
