Nice snow cover. It was not groomed but two others had skied a trail and we followed it too. It was a tad sticky in a few spots where the sun hit it.

We made a stop at the lovely single track Korkki trail on our way up to Bearskin lodge. With the 3" of fresh snow and the sun shining strong on our skied in trails, it became the spring skiing sticky-snow-slog through the beautiful woods. We took many stops and a few falls to remove snow from our skin ski bottoms.

New snow this morning meant a bit of trail breaking today, but beautiful none the less. Of note there was a sign at the trailhead indicating that the trails are closed Friday, likely to make the best track possible for the race on Sunday, so keep that in mind if you are heading up this way tomorrow.

It was groomed today and is excellent shape. There looked to be about 2 to 3 inches of new snow. Very little debris on trail. Thanks to the groomer!

I skied the 5k loop. The trails were nicely groomed, and the skiing was great. I chose B skis as the rating because of occasional branches and debris on the tracks.

Beautiful fresh deep snow on trail and covering trees after the blizzard! Poles not getting much purchase as it is quite soft. Snow was getting sticky at about 21 deg Fahrenheit. The maintenance crew was out working hard to get the trees cleared and setting track Friday morning. I was the 2nd skier and turned around after catching up to the crew on Ryan's loop. Dorothy's loop is completely groomed. They said to expect 7k groomed by the end of today. Was pure joy to be out and skiing this beautiful trail today. Many thanks to the maintenance crew!

The trails had been groomed today up until the 4K cutoff. After that, the trails had been skied in pretty nicely. The tracks are shallow but in good shape.

We classic skied Korkki today. When we got there it was 34, when we left 37. The 4k was freshly groomed. We skied 5k. All the corners were skied out. A couple of downhills were missing tracks, one of them had sticks sticking up and a tad bit of icy looking stuff. The rest of the trail was all snow, no ice, minimal debris and huge thank you to the groomer!!

Conditions are great at Korkki (classic only). Excellent coverage, no ice, pretty fast, and nice tracks. The only spots where the tracks are washed out are the usual trouble spots on the downhills. I skied the 6k loop and have a great time. All trails are open including the difficult side loops on the return but the Iso Maki is still closed. A great warming building at the end. They are not part of the MN Ski Pass so consider becoming a member or dropping some cash in the box at the trailhead.
