Conditions for skating and striding were outstanding. The trail system was groomed yesterday so the skate deck set up nicely. The track was deep, firm and clean.

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All trails freshly groomed and in pretty good shape after a crazy weather week. Classic tracks looked deep and free of debris. Skate deck was mostly fine except for some uneven short stretches where the groomer cut in. All were easy to navigate around.

Skated the majority of the system this morning and all was in good shape. So far the grooming work has held up really well despite the warm afternoon temperatures. Classic tracks are set and in good shape.

Best conditions I have seen at Jack Lake in years. Kudos to the grooming crew. Fast for both skate and classic. I skate skied, but the classic tracks were deep. Groomed on Friday..

[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skated the majority of the system today and all was in good shape. Trails were groomed recently and had 1/4-1/2" of fluffy powder on top, that slowed things down a little but was beautiful, and a great day to be out there. Classic tracks are set and in good shape.

Mid-afternoon observation when the temp was 3 degrees amid a howling wind. Trail freshly groomed for both skate and classic. Excellent on-trail warming shelter. Carpe Skiem!

Received 3" of snow overnight and some still coming down. Skied a number of the trails today including Balsam Loop, Highland Loop to Moose Pass, The Outside Passage and Critter Crossing while the groomer was out. Skate deck is perfect! The tracks also looked very good.

Observation
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Very disappointed to find snowmobile tracks down the ski trail today. Not skiable! Poor groomers have much work to do.
