Grooming Scheduling
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Another 2" of snow came down last night, so groomer headed out at noon once finished with snowshoe school group. Trails are looking great with very little leaves or twigs. All sections are open with traditional ski on one side, and skate ski deck the rest of the width of the trail. We have packed snowshoe trails, as well as trails through the woods that have been made by recent school groups. Sledding hill is also packed and open. No trail fees as this is a State Wildlife Area, donations appreciated. Trails and conditions keep getting better with each snowfall. Frozen Fun Winter Open House is Saturday with lots of activities and free snowshoe / ski use at the nature center. Hours of the event are 9 am to 2 pm. Also Horse drawn sleigh rides (Fee).

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Over 12 inches of new snow between Sunday and Tuesday. Grooming volunteers are out packing and tracking the trails. They likely will be able to do three passes around the trails making all trails 12 to 16 ft wide. Traditional track will be set on one side, skate skiing on the packed deck. Snowshoe and walking trails will also be packed for those users. Sledding hill has also been packed for use. Frozen Fun Open house is this Saturday with many activities free of charge. About 12 miles of ski trails are open, plus the walking and snowshoe trails. Parking lot is open and plowed. Ski and snowshoe rentals are available at the nature center building.

Ski trails are good after a new coat of snow. Tracks are still visible, skate deck looks good and not many people out. Note that there is some ice under the new fallen snow. Grooming plan: Grooming is set for Friday morning after possible snow Thursday night.
