Outstanding track today. This groomer seems to have done this before. Tracks were deep, firm, straight, and smooth through the turns. Squeaky cold sound underfoot and upon pole plant.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Three inches of light fluffy snow last night. Groomed skate lanes (2 passes) and set new track on all segments. I took only the snowmobile and cut open the "Ungroomed Bog" area (see photo). Check it out...in center area of trail system.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skied the trails before and during the Friday snowfall. Before the snow, the classic tracks were in very good shape, with just a few leaves and debris. During the snowfall, 4:30-5:30 pm, the tracks were starting to fill in and slow down, but still very enjoyable. Nice to have fresh snow and great grooming.

Groomed for both classic and slate, but the fluffy snow was falling fast. Made for a super fun ski on real snow!

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
I classic skied the outer loop and upper interior segments. I had the grooming equipment with me so I made 2 passes on the outer loop only to touch things up. One pass on the skate lane and the other pass setting a new classic track with good results.

Bryan Pike is a genius groomer! The trails at Larson Lake are perfect! We mostly classic skied, but Terry did some skating too. All the trails were beautiful!

Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
2.5 inches of snow overnight. Windy and blowing snow during grooming. Wider skate lanes than before. Cutting knives lowered a touch to take some of the humps and high spots down a bit. About a 4-5 inch base.

Grooming

We have tracks and 6 more weeks of winter! Made two passes on skating lanes, packing then set track on third pass. Groomed interior segments and set track where snow was not wind blown and thin base.
