The shaded trails (inner loop, apple orchard, etc.) are in pretty good shape for skating and were recently groomed. Classic tracks are pretty melted/down to the dirt more or less everywhere so definitely use rock skis for those. The Parkwood Hills ball diamond is down to the grass in 1-2 spots and the bridge to enter Quarry Hill from Parkwood Hills also has spots that are down to the wood, so use caution anywhere that gets much sun.

The trails were groomed today and in overall good condition. On very sunny, windswept, or pine tree-shaded areas it's starting to get thin or dirty enough to require B skis, especially in the classic tracks. Elsewhere, such as the apple orchard loop, is quite good and has enough ice underneath that at least you won't hit dirt.

The skate deck was refreshed this morning. Classic tracks were not touched. Only the meadow, wooded trails, and Parkwood Hills ball field were groomed. There is still good coverage but it is thin and often over ice. The temperature at the time of grooming was high teens with variable cloudiness and light winds.

All trails groomed this morning with a new classic track set in most areas. Conditions are good for both classic and skate skiing. A little thin in the inner loop of the upper Parkwood hills section. Also, a little thin in quarry Hill Park (out to the west of Quarry Hill Nature Center) loop around the ball field.

Groomed today setting classic track on most trails and skate deck. West ball field is grassy and not groomed but the trails to the field are groomed. Parkwood Hills (north hill) is groomed except for the two short loops at the top are bare. Most trails are mostly good except for a few poor spots. Most trails took a corduroy finish with thin fine snow.

With the previous melt and re-freeze the base is solid ice. Most of the trails were groomed and a track set. The track setter pretty much cut through to the ice base. The skate deck has a thin coat of corduroy. I think that skate skiers might cut through to the ice base. I would say ski at your own peril. The better option would be to ski at Gamehaven.

Fresh grooming today that may have gotten a bit soft, but still full coverage (with scant few thin spots easily avoided). Getting a good edge is not a problem. Track was in good shape already, and was not reset. Get out there for a good quality ski!

Trails were freshly groomed around noon and in very good shape. Skied both the East and West loops and both the skate deck and classic tracks looked good. A few leaves on the trail under the oaks, but no bare patches or icy spots.
