Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Groomed around 7K this morning but did not groom the Orange loop or any of the hills. With the temperature and around 3" of snow overnight would expect slower conditions. Hope to groom later in the week after the peak warm-up day.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Park was groomed this morning and conditions are good. We were not able to groom the orange loop completely because the smaller groomer needed for the the narrower trails was at Riverside Park. We are lacking enough trailers and trucks to move the equipment back and forth between the two parks to get them both properly groomed in a timely manner. If anyone who has a truck and trailer and can help, please contact us.

Observation
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
We anticipated grooming today but equipment issues stopped us. We plan to be operational next week and have the park ready for great skiing weather for next weekend. Updates as things happen.

Track is good, with the exception of the downhill before the bridge, which has snowshoe and boot damage. Very little blown-in snow.

The recent snow, excellent grooming and frigid temperatures have provided excellent conditions for classic skiing. There has been no foot traffic on the track. Some foot traffic next to the track which did not interfere with carefree skiing. This trail system is a gem of southern Wisconsin with plenty of elevation and some narrow gauge track as well. Conditions should be good for awhile.

Tracks in good condition, very little drifting. The path through the cornfield has deep enough snow that pole plants can be difficult.

Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
This morning all the trails minus the outer orange loop were groomed. Lots of snow meaning nice tracks. The colder temps should keep our deep base for the foreseeable future. Come on out and be safe!

Night
Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
The trails were meant to be groomed tonight but equipment issues stopped our efforts. The plan is to groom all loop except the orange (tree down) tomorrow morning. Will file an update then. Regarding foot traffic, it can be bad near the trailheads, but once you get going, things get better. Stick with it.

I thought that I would ski close to home today. I had not been to Rockport Park in 20 years and had high hopes for a great ski on a sunny afternoon. After only 50 yards into the trail from the pool parking lot, I turned around. People had made the trails nearly impassable by walking in the trails. There are 'no entry' signs for dogs but not for walkers to stay off the trail. Very disappointed.

With the 6" plus snowfall we were able to roll and groom all of the trails with the exception of one segment of the orange loop that needs some tree and brush removal. Conditions should be ideal. Enjoy!
