I skated most of the golf course. Skate deck is firm except in a few windblown places. There are many patches of leaves, a few patches with unavoidable twigs or plants, some ice sheets.

Great first ski of the season at CXC! Lots of snow, grooming was a little narrower on some corners and not quite fully packed down on many sections, but plenty of coverage throughout. We explored everything that was groomed (looked like all but upper field was groomed), but didn't venture fully on Solvang's hill or Challenger. Throughout the rest, the skate lane was mostly free of debris and obstacles but soft (especially on the edges), while the classic tracks were fairly washed out across exposed sections of "Round-A-Lot". All around a great day for a ski, and looking forward to a fantastic season! Many thanks to the groomers.
