Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
There was a good six inches of new snow on the track. I broke trail on the entire red loop as well as the green loop on a second time around. I was surprised to see how little glide I had on the trail I had broken. Several other skiers just heading out on the trail also complained about no gilde. I'm not sure what that was attributable to as I was waxed with Swix 8 which should have been right for the temperature.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
All loops were leveled and tracked yesterday. Except for the Red segment that has the first steep hill to the shelter- this was only leveled. Good conditions, a few leaves scattered on the trail. I am having equipment issues still and will be sharing a gator from the McNaughton trail. This will delay grooming operations for Madeline Trail after a fresh snow. Thanks for your understanding. Have a great time!

All loops were packed and leveled after our 12" of snow yesterday. The blue segment to the shelter was tracked. All of the yellow loop was tracked. The middle green segment was tracked. The back loop of the red back to the parking lot was tracked. The trail is still soft and needs to harden up before more track is laid. Lots of debris from the strong winds last night.
